Pros

good benefits work-life balance working with generally smart and kind people salary OK compared companies in similar size market/revenue, there is a 7% rrsp contribution that employee doesnt need to match that I didn't include in the salary here which is significant compared to other companies

Cons

slow to market things are messy at the moment because the company restructured in early 2024 and significant change in C-suite leadership, as well as structure and company operations not a lot of space for innovation, the banks are driving the work and it really feels suffocating as you don't feel autonomy over the work you are doing people are promoted based on the connections they have made, there really wasn't structure and it depends on either the above or your manager. Mine was not good for advocating for our team in general, no one got promoted aside from my manager in the 5 years I was there and we certainly have expanded the scope of our roles but constantly misevaluated even though we delivered and reached our OKRs.

Pros

Brand Name/Events / Benefits Plan

Cons

Restructuring and layoffs every year...Unplanned decisions even restructuring teams back to original way of reporting resulting in frequent firing and layoffs...Toxic middle level managers and highly political environment..be ready to have escalations on minor issues...instead of working together teams shift blames on each other ..You have to watch your back constantly...E.g Thrown in projects without any knowledge transfer and expected to excel from day one else will be escalated...Personal ego of Middle Managers takes precedence over Talent and Results..
