Pros

Good networking, Good starting place to work, but not to remain. As soon as you get some network set up, move on.

Cons

Close to minimum salaries, huge workload, 9-10hours a day.

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. We really appreciate the fact that you consider Interamerican as a good company to work for and broaden your network. We’re sorry to hear of your disappointment with the workload and the pay Interamerican offers. Our aims is to provide our employees with salaries that are aligned with the market average salaries or even more. Thus, we would not consider our salaries as close to minimum. However we're always looking to improve our offerings to our employees as we consider them to be our greatest asset. Also our vision is to help people live longer, safer and this is why we have established a flexible/remote working model. We aim on making easier for our employees to find a balance between their work and personal lives. We fully understand though that that during critical periods, the workload may be higher than expected and we are trying to do our best to improve that. Thank you for your contribution on our commitment to become better and better, day by day.

Pros

- flexible working hours and very understanding if anything happens. - once a month the devs are gathering for a meetup and you have the change to meet and greet. - they give time for personal improvement but this is not common or every week. - extra two days for vacation in holidays one at easter and one at xmas. - a total of $ 250 in giftcards for xmas-easter as gift each year

Cons

- mostly ibm locked, depricated web server websphere which will get removed due to the end of life of the extended support! - gradle locked to 2.13 due to a plugin written by someone that no longer maintains it. This is paired with eclipse lock (specific old version of eclipse). When you say intellij the say that the wont pay... - tech lead is very strong opinionated that most of the doesnt not understand what we are suggesting. - saddly only a couple of high position people understand architecture and they dont have the time or capacity to implement it properly. e.g. the eccosystem is splitted in many apps but all of them are depended one from the other, NO mocks and the beta enviroment is always broken from different teams. - they do many meetings for alignment etc which have no purpuse because no one aligns (imagine being in the product that brings the most income to the company and having to do last minute updates because an api forgot you exist... now multiply it by 10)

Thank you for sharing your #Interamerican_Experience. We’re glad the flexibility, understanding culture, and developer meetups stand out for you. We also hear your concerns around technologies, tooling constraints, and alignment across teams. These are real challenges in our environment, and we’re actively working on modernisation and better cross-team coordination as part of our broader digital transformation. Thanks for being part of the team.
