Interco Response
4yDisgruntled employee who was caught surfing the internet all day and napping on the job rather than doing his job. Oddly, was hired as an IT Technician but given responsibilities in another area when it turned out he was not happy with the IT Tech responsibilities (an indicator that his manager should have cut ties, but instead chose to make every effort to find the right seat on the bus for this person). Three strikes later in less than six months on the job and he had to be terminated -- despite repeatedly denying and making excuses.
It happens, yet nobody wants to be held accountable and admit blame. This one went as far as to try to hide browser history proving what he was terminated for, but when the proof was shared, changed his tune, and begged to stay.
This former staffer was an assistant working side-by-side interns performing similar tasks. Therefore, the turnover would be higher than expected with full-time employees -- maybe he didn't realize they were interns, but more likely just upset he lost a job and a terrific opportunity in a growing department working for a compassionate manager.
