Pros

It is on the Red Line Metro. I met 1 talented designer who joined the team.

Cons

Certainly, here’s the revised review with your requested changes incorporated into the second paragraph: ⸻ Review: I worked here for two years, and unfortunately, the experience was marked by a toxic and unprofessional environment. The workplace consistently lacked organization and structure, which often led to confusion and inefficiency. One of the most concerning issues was the selective and ostracizing treatment from the owner, who routinely avoided accountability and instead deflected responsibility onto staff. The owner often seemed more focused on appearances than actual progress—frequently making unprofitable and unnecessary spending decisions to create distractions from the business’s deeper issues. There was an effort to present the team as diverse and inclusive on the surface, but behind closed doors, individuals were routinely ostracized and marginalized, undermining the very values being promoted externally. This disconnect between image and reality was deeply disheartening. Additionally, clients frequently raised concerns about financial transparency and the outcomes of services rendered—issues that leadership failed to address openly or effectively. Overall, the culture was demoralizing and unsustainable, and I would caution others to seek a healthier, more professional work.

Pros

Good portofolio work for DC. If you are looking for a place to boost your portfolio and add some experience in the city this is a good start.

Cons

Incredibly toxic environment, the managing of people is non-existent, so you will find yourself having to navigate the owner's paranoia and will have to deal with people turning on people. There is no professional growth, and no potential to express your vision or even protect the client's interest. In here you will do as you are told and you will be guided very little and very harshly. If you do want to grow professionally this is not the place for you. I would not suggest anyone to work here. ever. Also don't believe anything it was said at the interview because none of that will be what you will be doing or how the management will treat you. It's common practice for the management to just sell the position at the interview making promises they are not willing or planning to keep.
