Layoffs, Benefit Reductions, and Contradictory Leadership - Senior Customer Success Manager International Data Group Employee Review

I joined IDC in 2023 and stayed for two years before being made redudant. From the beginning, leadership often spoke about how much they valued people and culture — calling it a core part of IDC’s identity. But over time, those words felt more like branding than reality. During my 2 years, I went through six rounds of layoffs. People I worked with closely were let go without warning, and in many cases, without any internal communication — even when it affected customers directly. Most of those roles were never replaced, or are currently moved to lower-cost regions. On top of that, an already modest benefits package was cut further, and morale across the company took a serious hit. The sale of the company is approaching, and job security is virtually nonexistent. It’s been disheartening to see the growing disconnect between what leadership says and what they actually do.
