Pros
The Internal Audit group at Navistar has some great people. Leadership tries their hardest to put a positive spin on what is going on within the organization. Flexible hours. You get a chance to bring ideas to the table and own them through to completion. Lots of opportunity.
Cons
Company is in a financial crisis. This crisis can't be solved until the old culture of Navistar is purged. Until a lot of the company leadership that are just 'hanging on' to get salaries/bonuses leave, the culture won't change. The company needs to begin challenging middle management layers, and seek out the right blend of experience, skills and motivation. An attitude of fear is pervasive and destructive to the organization's plans to turn it around.
