Pros

The pay with benefits is slightly above the area average and you won't have to feel like you've taken advantage of them because you will earn every single penny!

Cons

They care nothing for the people, the union is weak, and what you prove you can do while doing your main job you will continue to do. They have group leaders who watch you and bully you into doing just as much as you possibly can, to the point that going to the restroom is something that reflects poorly on you. But the part that really affected me was watching the leaders drag an employee that passed out due to heat off the assembly line and making everyone concerned keep the line going by yelling at them to do so. Many of the employees that I work with here have been injured here with back and shoulder injuries to the point where they couldn't get another job that pays close to what they currently make after the injury. Some of the paint booths are not enclosed and overspray particles go into the air. There is a 25' stain on the floor at the entrance that shows proof of the heavier particles dropping. (The paint is carcinogenic according to it's Safety Data Sheet) Also, It is about 20 degrees warmer inside the plant during the summer than outside. In addition, one must also be prepared for plant shutdowns. They run the lines fast enough to build up a bank of finished buses then close the plant when they "run out of orders" or "can't get the parts we need" or any various reason, and then there is the unpaid, understood 2 week shutdown at the end of the year.
