Pros

Work life balance Interesting work, always challenging for those that up for it Executives are concerned for employee well-being, work environment, morale, etc. Lots of activities (more than just Friday lunch) for camaraderie Room to grow - this industry and company are expanding, lots of hiring here and in cyber security in general...anyone that doesn't walk away with more skills than when they started is not paying attention or lacks initiative

Cons

Working at a small company means you will wear many hats and fill many shoes, doesn't always mean you will look good doing the job, but you get the flexibility to go with it.

Pros

The benefits are nice. You have full coverage, although sometimes the co-pay is a little much. It's nice to be downtown too, there are all different kinds of restaurants. They pay for lunch on friday, which is GREAT, if you work during the day, or even evening, but the overnight guys get NOTHING. But it's our fault because we have to do this little thing called sleeping during the day when they're at lunch. There is usually always soda or coffee. And one other analyst bought an espresso machine, which is great, if it's kept clean. Your co-workers are usually fairly nice, and are fun to talk to.

Cons

The management micromanages, and fails to see larger issues. They talk to you like you're 5, and never look at themselves as the source of any problems. Apparently nobody went to any sort of management training, so they're all winging it. This is a newer company, so complete training isn't to be expected, but it would be nice if they learned how to talk to people, motivate them, boost morale. They have a real "us vs. them." attitude. If you make one mistake they light the fires, and ring the alarms, and don't apologize if they were way off base.
