Pros

JB Hunt as a whole and its overall culture make the base pay and bonus programs amazing and easy to work for.

Cons

Regionally and account to account. Could use a lot of improvement, Most large accounts require 48 hour work week or "business needs" so burn-out happens way more often and sometimes the operational needs outweigh the employee's home life balance. You end up feeling trapped with the same pay for way too many hours.

Pros

Steady work Job security Consistent pay can make $100k in first yr as long as you hustle Ability to go in on one of your 2 off days (6th work day) to make extra money PTO/Holiday Pay Benefits 401K with Company match

Cons

Sometimes planners will throw a load on you with a tight delivery appt time, and if you dont communicate with dispatch that you won't make the appt you get penalized for being late.

Pros

Drivers are amazing. If you as a manager are kind to the drivers, you will get respect in return. Management wise, not so great. Company has nice pay for a starter job and great benefits.

Cons

Operations managers and above run the show in sketchy ways. I was constantly retaliated against because I simply knew the rules and the upper management was doing some sketchy stuff. I ended up quitting because it got so bad. I was one if the most tenured managers there and I requested a new schedule and was shut down several times. I was always told to just give it time. We'll I gave it plenty of time and things only got worse. Upper management didnt seem to care about the TM's or drivers. For a company founded by drivers for drivers, they need to do better overall.
