Pros

Full-time employees receive paid time off, one holiday a year, and benefits. Compensation is above average.

Cons

Scheduling can be pretty rough. Obviously, weekends are required, but the store director always prioritizes their own with little to no consideration for the management team. Advancement to the first tier of management is relatively easy, but difficult after that.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
