Pros

Friendly colleagues, good pension, good pay, and weekly wages. Unfortunately, in my experience, the cons outweighed the pros overall.

Cons

High staff turnover, limited support from management, and a working environment that felt constantly pressured. There also appeared to be a lack of understanding from leadership around the day-to-day realities and demands of different departments. The general staff and office employees were one of the more positive aspects of the workplace. However, in my experience, the difficulties stemmed more from senior leadership, communication, and the overall management structure rather than from the wider staff team. There was often a reactive approach to planning and communication, with projects and deadlines regularly arising at short notice, which added to the overall pressure of the role. There was also an expectation at times to work beyond normal hours in order to meet deadlines and project demands. The overall culture and structure of the business made it difficult to feel settled or secure long term. In my experience, the reality of the role did not fully reflect the expectations set during the recruitment process. By the end of my time there, I personally felt a strong sense of relief in leaving the environment, which reflected the level of pressure experienced day to day.

Pros

Quite laid back and Competitive package. Was lucky to have a very good manager who helped with my development and listened to my needs.

Cons

Was waiting months to be allocated next project and was left with meaningless clerical work instead. Long working hours with no early finish on Fridays, No remote work unless under certain circumstances, Lots of travel as most projects are outside Dublin/Galway/Cork. Poor reward system for employees. Lack of culture in the office as most colleagues are out on site and departments don't really integrate.
