Pros

No meaningful positives during my experience.

Cons

The internship was advertised very differently from what it actually was. Most of the work involved basic administrative tasks with almost no real learning or skill development. Daily Zoom calls often lasted 3–6 hours and rarely focused on anything meaningful or productive. There was no structure, direction, or follow-through—projects were discussed for hours but rarely completed. Interns were often blamed for issues despite receiving little to no guidance. The business itself is barely operational, functioning mainly as a small resale account on platforms like Poshmark, with extremely low activity (sometimes only one or two sales in an entire month). The structure also appears to fall short of the Department of Labor’s six-factor test for unpaid internships, since interns are essentially responsible for running the core operations while the CEO is the only paid employee. Overall, the experience felt much more like free labor than any type of educational opportunity.
