Pros

I'm young, most of my co workers were older and as you could imagine that can be both good and bad. Training is beautiful. You get paid for it. Pay is cool compared to other places. Discounts are great: for example for black Friday, the discounts JC Penney has for customers, we got a day before black friday so not to get caught up in the rush. Discounts PLUS our employee discounts! Easy to get raises. Very fair. You do more, you get paid more!

Cons

I worked for seasonal. I had another job that gave me few hours so I was looking fir hours when got on board at JCP. I had no idea what I was in for. Sooo not understanding. Not only did we work 10-12hr shifts, but management had us stay way after we were to get off... Just to get yelled and screamed at to hurry. If you were sick? Oh well. I had food poisoning once from food I ate on my break and they told me to go in the break room for about 15mins and I'll be fine. I hated working there.

Pros

If you like working early morning hours and getting off early in the afternoon (which I do) this is a great part-time job. I was a college student when I worked here so it worked perfectly with my schedule. The pay is pretty decent and the people you work with are friendly.

Cons

Only real downside is that it's retail. You're going to run into some rude customers from time to time. There's always work to do and not enough time given to do it sometimes. But as long as you work hard and managers see that you're trying your best there isn't too much pressure put on you.
