Pros

The customers of JCPenney are very loyal and keep coming back. They make hours on my feet pleasant and the hours seem to fly past when the customers keep coming. My coworkers are the best, too! They are very friendly and pleasant to work with. The managers work hard and are encouraging.

Cons

I would love to hear more specific feedback regarding my performance. I would like to see more opportunities for manager training and promotions within the local store. The hourly wage is pretty low, too. I know economic times are tough for the company, but I would be a more loyal worker (not looking for another job) if the pay was a bit better.

Great Maintenance department with a great team of Managers and Senior technicians to learn from each day.

Pay was low for the work load.

Pros

If you like working early morning hours and getting off early in the afternoon (which I do) this is a great part-time job. I was a college student when I worked here so it worked perfectly with my schedule. The pay is pretty decent and the people you work with are friendly.

Cons

Only real downside is that it's retail. You're going to run into some rude customers from time to time. There's always work to do and not enough time given to do it sometimes. But as long as you work hard and managers see that you're trying your best there isn't too much pressure put on you.
