Very traditional Chinese company, not ideal for Western employees in China - Public Relations JD.com Employee Review

Very traditional Chinese working environment in which the boss' role is to "teach" subordinates, no open discussion encouraged. Difficult for foreigners to adjust, there was not enough work for me to do -- must speak and read fluent Chinese in order to feel satisfied in the role. Campus is far from the center of the city. International teams have better work-life balance than domestic-facing teams.
