Pros

Dog-friendly office. Management tries hard to create a family atmosphere at work. Those who have stuck around are great coworkers.

Cons

The leadership is dismal. The CEO is a self-help junkie that buys into every new psychological theory/perspective she is exposed to and then forces it on her employees. Landmark Form, Gallup Strengths Finder and Tony Robbins were just a few that were fanatically embraced in my tenure. Employment tends to be short lived. In one year's time I witnessed seven highly experienced, competent, hard-working individuals be hired and quit of their own will. Pay is extremely low. Leadership touts it is open-minded, willing to listen and learn and wants to embrace ideas that will better the company, but in reality the company is lead by a CEO who is none of that. The leadership also owns the company, so there is no chance it will change in the future.

Pros

Benefits, flexibility and pay are middle of the road. Not great, but sufficient.

Cons

Turnover is high and there are little to no advancement opportunities. While I appreciate that some individuals notice and try to fix the underlying issues, the company overall significantly struggles to retain talent. Over time, I’ve become increasingly concerned about the long-term viability and differentiation of the company’s offerings. There seem to be stronger alternatives on the market. In terms of leadership, I have witnessed the CEO (who is heavily involved in day-to-day operations) speaking to and about her employees in a manner that I find to be demeaning and disrespectful. While this has not been directed at me, the frequency of these interactions is unacceptable. Public Glassdoor ratings appear to skew heavily positive. In my experience, employee feedback is collected through internal engagement surveys, and it feels like negative perspectives are much less visible than what is reflected on platforms like Glassdoor.
