Pros
There are few pros to John F. Kennedy University any more. The health benefits are good, but pricy and will cut deeply into your paycheck if you are carrying a family plan. Most of the the department heads are flexible, and most of the core staff and faculty are good people.
Cons
The President is horrible. His attitude towards staff is belittling. He cares little about the welfare of employees, and instead of trying to figure out away to bring in more students to increase revenue, his answer to the fiscal instability of the university is to lay people off. The work culture is becoming sad and empty, and the feeling of community is fading out. National University's business attitude has drained the spirit out of what was once a fun and lively place to work. The turn over rate is high. Because of the decreasing staff - due to layoffs or quits - the remaining staff are over worked and stressed. Compensation is on the low end, raises are slim. Another review boasted 5% raises. Those are not guaranteed. 3% is average if a raise is giving at all. The positive reviews posted here are a farce and sound like they were writing by the marketing team to bolster the rating average.
