Cons
The mandatory requirements to apply is to provide UCAS points. A point system that is used only in the UK and foreign universities don't adhere. They basically force any foreign student to pay money, as the only way to get this UCAS points count is to pay for a conversion that could not be enough as the system has been changed recently, while British students don't have to pay anything. Not only this is an illegal fee, but UCAS itself does not support the misuse of this system. This is the reply I got when I tried to contact them to understand how I could solve this problem: UCAS doesn’t endorse employers asking for UCAS points. The Tariff system was specifically designed to help universities compare qualifications to each other and to be able to assess applicants for their courses in a particular year. Some universities choose not to use the system at all and will only ever ask for specific grades rather than points. Employers have little understanding of the Tariff system and how it’s used. Simply seeing that someone may have more UCAS points than another person isn’t really a valid way of assessing someone's employability.
