Pros

JLR is a big company so I only speak for the office where I am based. There are several things that are just great about JLR: - clear paths for individuals to succeed - if you work hard and add value you can be promoted fairly quickly - fantastic supportive and smart colleagues - good salary and perks - work from home for most days at the moment - good work-life balance - it's important to do the work, but there is no expectation to do long hours unless if you want to - good mid-term vision where we want to go with projects with realistic timelines - really good management that looks after my team (they're proper enablers that push away lots of noise from the team) - 20% time for developing extra skills, typically related to the projects you work on or for improving processes etc. - lots of interesting projects around, though an individual will mostly work on one - us of up to date software engineering practices and methods, lots of focus is put on quality In addition, since the new CEO started a lot has shifted towards digital technology so it's a really good time to be joining to JLR.

Cons

Being a big company it has some standard cons: - depending what team you end up things may not be as good as in other teams - lots of things are going on across the company so it is difficult to get a big picture and how different things fit together

Pros

- Amazing work culture and work life balance - As a designer the world is your oyster of how you want to grow and develop - Manager is amazing at communicating your needs and empathizing with you - Everyone is driven to be a better designer and so much support from everyone

Cons

- Having to work sometimes really early or nighttime due to time zone differences with some of the people we work with - Projects & goals sometimes have to change in the week to better fit business needs and team goals.

Pros

Great work life balance Supportive environment

Cons

If you fall in the less than 3 years experience bucket, your best shot is the new graduate positions which have terrible pay and full-time employment after 2-years is not guaranteed.
