Pros
-Good benefits -A fair amount of friendly people going throught the same grind as you -One of the better banks in terms of layoffs, have not been as quick to reduce headcount
Cons
Many -Pay is below average-I reiterate what others have said that the only leverage you have on salary is during the hiring stage. Once you are in, forget it, unless you are really tight with your manager. My raises/bonuses never exceded 10%, and that was in stellar years, figure 5% on average for support positions, and thats for TOP performers! -Unless you have a manager willing to really go to bat for you, you will never be promoted. Doing a good job is not enough, you have to be an all-star. I have heard of people who had to leave the company, and then come back to get to a higher level. -Spoiled front office personnel-rich pricks that are upset they spend their whole lives in the office. They make millions, and its never enough. Young analyts/associates driven purely by greed. -Finally, as the title says, unless you are in the "front" you are in the "rear". Support personel, ie those that dont generate revenues for the company, are an expense, and you are treated as such. Accounting is typically seen as a profession, not here. Very clear line between who is valued and who isnt.
