Pros

The only pro is the pay, I guess and the benefits

Cons

management sucks. In my 3 years, I dealt with 2 lesbian DEI hire managers who hated me because I was a regular white dude, and they just absolutely did not like that. I was constantly being put under a microscope even tho I was constantly volunteering to do extra work or stay late to get something done, I always exceeded in my work and did extra to help others. It was never good enough for them. JP Morgan is where you go to join the rat race and let your dreams die. they constantly talk about hiring from within but unless you are brown nosing someone to absolute death or are a nasa approved rocket scientist good luck ever getting an oppurtuinty to work on another team. the only reason I got my job was becuase my best friend that had been there 7 years already managed to get me in thru a contractor (Kforce). Kforce was very helpful in streamlining the process for me getting hired, but became absolutely useless when trying to go back to get a different job. I was only hired for a contracting position that turned into a permanent position at the end of the contract. On top of all that, this company values laying off their American-based workers to replace them with incompetent indian and Filipino workers just so they can pay them pennies on the dollar and cut costs. My entire team was laid off over this exact thing. These people have been getting trained on how to do work alongside us since before I started, and they could never grasp any of the concepts. constantly causing problems and ultimately ruining the operation. The CEO of this company does not care about its employees. ALL YOU ARE IS A NUMBER TO THEM. My advice. If you have aspirations to not hate your life or the people you work with daily. DO NOT WORK HERE.

Pros

They treat people well overall. It's all about connecting to others to get anything done, so if you're great with networking and maintaining connections it's a good place to work. Honestly the kindest layoff I've ever experienced, including genuine internal support to find another job. Still doing meaningful DOI work, including some of the best friendly benefits out there.

Cons

If you don't have a highly specialized cyber security skill set or work at a main campus in Texas, Ohio, Delaware, New York or New Jersey don't expect to ever move up the ladder. Staying focused on goals OR successfully communicating strategy pivots seems to be beyond most MDs in Global Technology. They seem to be having a re-org problem at the moment. I had 5 managers in the last 365 days I was there, hardly time to get any work done and then challenged at the end to show impact or delivery, all you can do is shrug and say 'tell me how, when you moved me every 2 months?"
