Pros
The culture within the business is amazing. From the get go, you feel welcome and part of the team. The work is challenging but not all consuming and there is a respect for your life away from work. Within my team there is no micromanagement and you are trusted to get on with what you need to (like adults should be). Transparency from Exco is incredible and you have a near perfect view of where the company is and where its going (not something you get often).
Cons
Not really a negative, but I would say if you haven't worked in a remote working environment before, really think about the challenges it can pose mentally. It has taken me a while to adapt to being on my own. Its just about finding routines that allow you to break away from that cycle. All that said, JUMO has always offered support if needed and if you are based in Cape Town they have a magnificent office you are welcome at anytime.
