Pros
You will learn java very well due to the complexity of the product and the pressure.
Cons
Product based company and the product is more than 13 years old , so as a fresher you will have to understand the codes which is very long and sql queries which are very long , it will be very hard for beginners even for experienced. No documents for understanding code , no proper knowledge transfer. Everyone is trying hard to meet the deadline , so you will get very minimum support from them. For deploying there product in your given machine itself is a hectic task , it will take time for learning that to do without anybody's help. No humanitarian consideration. I remember once the chief was trying to make all the employees feel better by saying that , "one of his relative is doctor , he is not even having week offs due to heavy work load , we are lucky". The message you have to take is , you can hardly not work during week offs , rest days your working hours can extend to it's maximum. The chance of a fresher staying here long is very less , so it is better not wasting your initial 5,6 months and going through immense pressure. Technology using is also old.
