Pros
-lots of roles: design, quality, manufacturing, processes, -aerospace manufacturing of cool parts -fairly easy to move up the ladder initially -smaller family owned company -pretty young average work force -very rewarding when successful on projects because you own such a large percent of the project -learn a lot of systems and processes that large AS9100 aero companies operate under
Cons
-small company means large growth into management is limited to people retiring. (Which is a ways off for a lot of these guys) -high expectations of success and first pass yield without proper training in a lot of the roles -high stress because of the high responsibility -work life balance is poor. You are pretty free to only work 40 hours "if all your work is done and covered, but the workforce is so lean it's very difficult to get it all done on. -you have to really fight for reasonable raises. -on call 24/7
