Pros
+ You get to work with some of the smart, most driven folks out there. One of our core values is "shadow is bigger than the dog" meaning we hire people who leave their egos at the door and come to work to get stuff done.
+ You get to "be an owner". Another core value, but it represents the fact that we all have ownership over our areas of expertise and all of those areas add up to being an owner within Janji. Cofounders Mike + Dave are always open to ideas and feedback and are happy to have others to bounce ideas off of.
+ This one might show some biases. The gear is great (and always improving), but the customers and community are even more powerful and incredibly inspiring. I am often humbled by my interactions with them, and they push me to want to do more.
Cons
– As a small team, bandwidth is always an issue. The team has a lot of great ideas, but can't always execute on them because of time/effort needed.
– We move quickly and efficiently. I see this as a plus, but the environment does not leave room for egos. We debate, decide, and move on. Sometimes that means your idea isn't "picked" but you cannot take things personally or you won't be successful at Janji.
