Pros

I have worked with various corporates, most of the places we stay in a defined zone, not so much interaction & learning visible across various cross functional teams until absolutely necessary. Obviously it is quite prevalent in Startups but definitely not in usual corporate structure. I not only got a chance to learn from my fellow colleagues but also from various juniors, be it people from Tech, Social Media or even from the Constituency Leads who used to work in Field. I have seen many who devoted their time, learnt and then moved out with some better opportunities in hand. I really am glad to be part of such super motivated team which worked in Political domain. So all together a hell lot of learning experience for me.

Cons

There cannot be List of Pros and no cons be it any company, definitely Jarvis too had cons, I would like to list few of them. I could hardly find any time for myself, yes its true, couldn’t manage my work life balance at all. This is a reality with Start-up sector nowadays, if one wants to have a life one need to move to some good corporate or PSUs even better choice. Too many Adhoc Projects, kept us on our toes. So whatever you plan for will definitely end up getting ruined, because u never know, what is coming, but again, this is not only true for startups but entire industry which works in political domain. You need to prepare yourself for Surprises.

Pros

Some colleagues were supportive. Salary was on time.

Cons

Extreme workplace politics — Almost every decision is driven by internal lobbying rather than merit. Promotions, opportunities, and recognition depend entirely on whom you can impress, not the quality of your work. Rampant favouritism — A small group of “chosen” employees get all the visibility, benefits, appreciation, and leniency. Everyone else is treated like they are invisible, no matter how hard they work. Toxic leadership culture — Managers openly protect their favourites and ignore genuine performers. They shut down new ideas, play blame games, and create a suffocating environment where you constantly feel undervalued. Zero transparency — Decisions are taken behind closed doors, and employees are expected to simply accept them. Feedback mechanisms exist only on paper; nothing changes even after raising concerns. Unhealthy work environment — Instead of encouraging teamwork, the environment pushes people into camps and cliques. Politics overshadows real work to the point where productivity suffers massively. No career growth for non-favourites — Skill, effort, and dedication mean nothing if you are not part of the inner circle. Your growth gets blocked without any explanation. Demotivating culture — Genuine performers either burn out or stop caring because they see unqualified people getting rewarded while real contributors are ignored or sidelined.
