Independent work environment; morale needs a boost.

I got to be the most technical person. Employees can vape inside the office. People were very nice and fun to talk to.

The company was very unprepared. They did not even have a computer for me until a week and a half later. I had to wait until the end of the week to start clocking in since the guy who controls the punch-in system was out. They do not have any security practices or a development sandbox in place. They installed extensions live without testing them, which brought the website down. I was the sole developer on the team and they outsourced to set everything up for them, so it was hard to get answers. During the interview I was told that I was going to make connectors between the various business programs, create extensions for Magento, and create a warehouse management system. Instead, I spent most of my time solving problems with Magento, which, I suspect, was caused by improper setup and lack of testing. I needed a stable development environment, which it was not at the time. Employees vape inside the office.
