Pros
- Come here only if you are ready to tackle cutting edge problem solving and want to learn something new daily. I've constantly evolved working here in the past 3 years and loved the nature of problems that we get to solve at this level of our experience. The dopamine you get when you realise the impact of your solution just keeps you motivated for even challenging problems. - Working on scale and throughput really boosts your knowledge of the system and architectures. Of course you need to keep learning and read from a lot of resources. - Growth wise as a company they are doing pretty good and currently are the best in their segment. They have already taken the lions share in the market. - Work life balance is good, no one calls after working hours (exceptions would be the pressing emergencies in prod which are very very rare) - They are very selective while hiring and that's why the crowd is really smart and best in class.
Cons
- This place is only for hardworking and dedicated people and there's literally zero room for lazy folks. Do your work well and you'll be praised & rewarded . They are very practical and easily let go minor issues/shortcomings (sometimes even major) if they are understandable and ofc they understand that there's space for human error. But if they figure out the issues are coming up consistently because of your lack of efforts then be ready for an earful. They are very clear on these while hiring. The CEO clearly mentioned to me during the final round of interviews that come to Javis only if you are willing to work hard and persevere.
