Pros
The rank and file employees are great. I enjoyed knowing most of them and miss many.
Cons
These statements were made based on my experience while I was there. There is new ownership and I can't speak to the current culture. However, while I was there: Raised voices and harsh words were not uncommon. I witnessed employees cry from verbal exchanges. Some of the labor practices I believed to be unfair. There's an ongoing case against Jay Packaging with the National Labor Relations Board with multiple allegations Allegations 8(a)(1) Concerted Activities (Retaliation, Discharge, Discipline) 8(a)(3) Discharge (Including Layoff and Refusal to Hire (not salting)) 8(a)(1) Coercive Statements (Threats, Promises of Benefits, etc.) 8(a)(1) Coercive Actions (Surveillance, etc)
