Pros

Nice to see the inside of a large agency... nice to never have to see it again.

Cons

Upon joining Jaywing, I was filled with optimism, having chosen it over another offer that promised a higher salary, under the belief that it presented a better career opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations from the beginning. From the outset, there was a noticeable absence of structured induction, training, or onboarding processes. I found myself navigating the new role without the formal HR orientations or the necessary guidance one typically expects when starting a new job. This lack of foundational support left me feeling underprepared and overlooked. My tenure was abruptly cut short before the end of my probationary period, without any provided explanation. Efforts to seek clarity on the reasons for my dismissal went unanswered, despite assurances of a forthcoming response. This lack of communication and unresolved confusion added to the feeling of unfair treatment, especially given the absence of any prior discussions regarding my performance or areas for improvement. The work environment was characterized by a lack of coherent processes and organization, contributing to a scattered approach to work. The company culture felt exclusive, dominated by cliquish behaviors among the staff. While there were genuinely nice individuals within the team, the overall atmosphere did not encourage the inclusion or proper induction of new employees. The initial engagement with the "boss" during my interview over Zoom had been promising, yet once I commenced my position, there was a distinct lack of acknowledgment. Despite numerous opportunities, the "boss" never extended a simple greeting in the office, creating a sense of disconnect right from the start. This lack of interaction persisted until our next meeting, which was, regrettably, to terminate my employment.
