Pros
Provides high quality, peer-reviewed forensic work for its clients.
Cons
Little useful administrative support, with plenty of accounting headaches I just learned the company let go a 65 year old senior engineer who served there for 16 years. His severance pay offered after 16 years was two months salary. Salaries in Seattle do not come close to covering the high cost of housing there. The support staff who is expected to provide equipment has no no budget to do it. When I was there, some employees have had to purchase their own equipment such as high quality cameras that essential for forensic work . Turned a regional forensic engineering firm that had a strong, collaborative , productive culture among its engineers into a virtual ghost town in less than two years after acquiring the company. Secretive, self-serving, self-promoting management Pathetically small salaries and raises for technical and engineering staff given the huge hourly rates and increases in billing rates. Huge salaries and bonuses for the unproductive management.
