Pros

There were some talented people throughout the organization, but unfortunately they are all gone. Driven out by toxicity. There is a Starbucks across the street.

Cons

My experience at Jetfuel was overwhelmingly negative due to the toxic workplace culture driven by poor leadership and inconsistent/inexperienced management. Leadership, especially former "owners" of the company, lacked direction and accountability. Decisions were reactive and personal rather than strategic or professional, creating uncertainty and frustration across teams. During my time there, employee turnover was exceptionally high, with what appeared to be more than 20 employees (out of 33) leaving over roughly a 16-month period. That level of turnover should have prompted serious reflection from leadership, but I never saw meaningful efforts to address the underlying issues. In most cases leadership welcomed these departures with negative personal commentary about the people leaving, even in the face of detriment to the business. Favoritism was another recurring problem. Certain employees appeared to receive preferential treatment, particularly within the Production Department (especially from the leader of this department) while other employees from other teams were held to different standards. Personal relationships were flaunted and bullying became the norm. This obviously created low morale and eroded trust across the other teams. I also experienced the Account leader based in Arkansas whose communication style was consistently condescending and dismissive. Constructive feedback should help employees succeed, but interactions with this individual often felt more demeaning than supportive. Again, this behavior was supported and condoned by leadership. The company's leadership team, including the President, did not inspire confidence. From my perspective, there was a severe lack of experience and strategic leadership at the top, and the organization's culture and retention suffered as a result. I cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for a collaborative, supportive, or professionally managed workplace. Serious issues with production execution, lack of sufficient account management and absolutely no future for creative make this company one to steer clear of.

Pros

This is hands down the best marketing agency I’ve ever worked for. I’m currently in my third calendar year with JetFuel Studio and have worked on four different programs — each experience has been outstanding. The level of professionalism, organization, and communication is unmatched. As a Tour Manager who’s often on the road, the support from the entire team is incredible. From account producers to HR and leadership, everyone is thorough, responsive, and genuinely supportive. The communication is clear, expectations are organized, and teamwork is seamless. They truly care about their people and their clients. Everything is handled with structure, efficiency, and integrity. I’ve never felt left out on my own — there’s always strong backing from the home team. Top-tier company all around.

Cons

Honestly, I don’t have any significant negatives to mention. My experience has been consistently positive across multiple programs and years.

Pros

- With the major lack of structure from leadership, employees have the option to set themselves up as key players that bring value to the business. - They order treats on Thursdays - Summer Fridays are offered

Cons

- The business is contingent on high margins, which can only be baked into "people" time. When brands push for lower budgets, the activations take a hit and end up lack luster, as they keep their margins padded vs reallocating budget appropriately. - They constantly rely on freelancers as their teams are not built with the appropriate experience or resources to serve their clients. - They outsource all production work, which clients will soon realize they don't need to pay an experiential agency to manage that handover. - JetFuel is at the mercy of one client that contributes to the majority of their revenue, but that client is not loyal to JetFuel, and is constantly threatening to revoke their business. - Employees are constantly talking down on one another. Creatives in New York complaining about their managers in Austin. Client Service leads complaining about New Business bringing in work they have to execute. It's a toxic environment that bleeds into the work. So many cracks in their model, with their ultimate demise on the horizon. - Senior Leadership acts as their own operation, one client lead, one new business lead, one creative lead, one production lead. They are not involved in the day to day of their employees. The employees are unhappy with the working environment. - The lead from the Northwest Arkansas team uses aggression and her lack of empathy as a tactic to minimize others. - The New York office is not well managed - there is rarely basic necessities like soap, water, cutlery.
