You are able to grow close with coworkers in your department/service area, and I have heard/individually experienced that working relationships within an individual department are supportive, collaborative, and based in empathy
Cons
There is a big disconnect between the exec team (and their so-called dedication to DEI initiatives) and the experiences/input of the staff that actually work with people who are in need/accessing services
