Pros
Opportunities to gain experience in employment services and recruitment. Some colleagues were genuinely passionate about helping clients.
Cons
• The “leadership”, particularly from CEO Wendy, was the biggest challenge. Her authoritarian management style has stifled collaboration and feedback, making the work environment feel oppressive. • Senior managers operated with an “all-knowing” attitude, disregarding input from staff, which created tension and a lack of motivation within the team (that or they’re scared of Wendy) • The culture of the company felt transactional—staff and job seekers alike were treated as numbers rather than individuals. There was no real concern for the well-being of employees or job seekers beyond meeting quotas. • The lack of genuine support or empathy from leadership made it hard to thrive or feel valued. • As a company, there seemed to be a systemic issue with a focus on profits over people, with management viewing taxpayers’ money as something to be exploited, rather than a resource to be handled responsibly.
