It's a good first job, definitely not a place to build your career - Technical Johnson Matthey Employee Review

Pros

Good benefits and diverse workforce. Open door policy and flexible work hours if you're salaried

Cons

Zero career progression. The only thing that counts here is the number of years you put in, not your work. Unless you're British, then the doors magically open up for you at all levels. They pay below market average and they are aware of it. They keep adding things like paid PTO to total benefits and come up with an overly inflated number in the hopes of keeping people happy. The main issue is that they want to work "lean", which is code for you'll be doing the work of 2 people while the "leadership" team listens to your complaints and does nothing. Literally every single team is understaffed and overworked. Morale is at an all time low. Avoid applying here if you want to have a stress free life.

Pros

If you are lazy, this is the place for you

Cons

If you are somewhat competent, don’t worry, management doesn’t care. Employees are part of their politics game. From orders delay to customer complaints, management’s resolutions are to put in more tedious complicated system and lay off actual workers. Constant restructuring every 6 months with no idea what they want. Base pay is below average. Not sure why investors are still investing and why customers are still buying. I would give 0 star if I can.
