Pros

The actual technology that Jolt is using is pretty modern and fun to work with: React, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. They provide (mostly frozen) food from Costco and other places so one can eat breakfast and lunch there every day.

Cons

The executives of Jolt do not trust their employees. They lock the floor's doors outside of the main office hours because they cannot fathom the idea of an employee being on premise unsupervised. You are also not allowed to work remotely. Only a select few developers have laptops, the rest must use desktops. Also, everyone is hourly pay. This seems nice because the overtime is "uncapped", but when you have to clock out any time you leave the floor, you start to realize that the cons of hourly pay outweigh the pros. I could argue that this policy also comes from a lack of trust from management. Another con is that if you want to use an adjustable height desk, you must pay a rent of $20/month to use one. If you want a standing only desk, you must pay a rent of $6/month.
