Pros
Medical benefits, remote work, flex schedule.
Cons
To provide a comprehensive overview, I feel it's crucial to highlight a review from a former employee who stated, "all that glitters is not gold." Despite initially hoping this was an isolated incident, my own experience at Joybyte mirrored theirs precisely. The management lacks empathy and strong leadership, leading to an overworked atmosphere that permeates the entire team. The onboarding process is rushed, and the company's "open door policy" for voicing concerns quickly turns into labeling employees as "negative" for speaking up. Monthly reviews using a 1-10 rating system fail to provide meaningful feedback tailored to individual strengths. Management refuses to take accountability for communication issues, excessive workloads, and inadequate training. In the initial interview, I was assured that my client portfolio would consist of no more than 5-6 clients. However, shortly after joining, I found myself managing 8 clients, with the expectation of reaching a capacity of 10. The increase in workload was overwhelming, compounded by the unrealistic daily tasks and KPIs we were expected to meet on a weekly basis. The promises made during the interview regarding client workload quickly unraveled, leaving both myself and my some colleagues struggling to cope with unattainable expectations. Despite working long hours, (working before 8, and past 5) to meet the ever-growing demands seems impossible, leading to a toxic environment where blame is placed on employees rather than addressing systemic issues. It’s truly saddening as their are some wonderful, talented, passionate, kind hearted people who work here. I caution anyone considering a job offer here to beware of the toxic work culture.
