No such thing as respect here... - Behavior Technician JumpStart Autism Collective Employee Review

Pros

I had to write something here so I could submit this.

Cons

Higher ups are rude. You'll get bashed if you don't have anything higher then a High School Diploma. You don't get paid enough for what you do. You'll feel "liked" at first but then you'll find yourself getting picked on by higher management or other BT's that have been there longer.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback about your time at JAC. We are sorry to hear that it was not the experience that our core values and standards reflect. We pride ourselves on providing career and growth opportunities within our organization no matter the level of education or experience that our Behavior Technicians join us with. The Behavior Technician is our entry level position and a majority of our core values are centered around the quality training and clinical supervision that we provide to advance at our organization and in the field. Part of that quality training is being open to feedback from our trainers and leadership to ensure we are providing the highest quality services for our learners possible. If you would like to provide additional feedback on your training experience, please reach out to us at info@jumpstartaba.com.

Pros

- Comprehensive training and onboarding — far more in-depth than other ABA or healthcare agencies I’ve worked for - Clear, consistent expectations covered in training and written out - Supervisors are regularly on-site and available for support, and even if they aren't in the center for a day, they will answer a Slack or text quickly - Other more experienced RBTs and "support" staff are always willing to help or jump in when needed - The leadership seems to genuinely care about employees and kids - Feels like a team working toward a shared mission, not just a job

Cons

- The work can be fast-paced and demanding at times (but that’s the nature of ABA and healthcare) - High standards and accountability might not be a fit for everyone, especially those who just want to "do their own thing"
