Pros
Good opportunity to sharpen your communication skills, builds resiliency with learning how to overcome the constant rejection that comes with door to door sales leading to building a strong foundation on how to close sales. Great for younger people fresh out of college, not so much someone with dependents who needs a steady income. Sales have their strong and weak seasons, so you must be good at managing your own finances to prepare for the slow seasons. Great if you have a natural tendency to have entrepreneurial spirit, but not so much if you like to stay in your comfort zone and be micromanaged. You must be a leader in order to succeed in sales.
Cons
Long hours, 50-60 hour weeks. being exposed to the weather/elements, generating leads from scratch, overall not an easy job and not for the faint of heart.
