Pros

Good opportunity to sharpen your communication skills, builds resiliency with learning how to overcome the constant rejection that comes with door to door sales leading to building a strong foundation on how to close sales. Great for younger people fresh out of college, not so much someone with dependents who needs a steady income. Sales have their strong and weak seasons, so you must be good at managing your own finances to prepare for the slow seasons. Great if you have a natural tendency to have entrepreneurial spirit, but not so much if you like to stay in your comfort zone and be micromanaged. You must be a leader in order to succeed in sales.

Cons

Long hours, 50-60 hour weeks. being exposed to the weather/elements, generating leads from scratch, overall not an easy job and not for the faint of heart.

Pros

It's a sales job. You take back to back phone calls. Customer service calls count against you even though you can't control it. So do ghost calls or people who don't speak English. There's also calls where people are trying to call other companies or for other things like gas or water and if you don't sell them those count against you too. It's work from home and it's a job.

Cons

Everything outside of your control counts against you. Managers are overworked so you don't get a lot of one on one time. You are epected to perform no matter what. Zero percent chance of moving up. Everyone is just fine with things how they are so no one moves up so you can't move up either.
