Pros

Learn how to finesse rich people to give money

Cons

Lack of morals, leadership has no personal background with the specific population, a lot of corruption within funds, exploiting at risk of the youths mental well-being. High level of sexual harassment and emotional abuse that has been swept under the rug while still promoting the perp. Wont provide ergonomic evaluation and will have you go to their warehouse to choose things that were donated by volunteers. Don’t keep volunteers accountable. Pay isn’t negotiable and no formal process about communicating it previously

Pros

Incredible place to work. The passion and dedication among the staff is inspiring daily. Staff are well respected and really well taken care of, both in terms of pay/benefits and also emotional/personal growth. Every person on staff brings their own expertise and strength to make a very high level organization, especially for a non-profit. Leadership team is humble, learns from decisions, and is pro-active in keeping the organization growing. Staff are very tight-knit and friendly with one another. Workload can be intense but everyone supports one another.

Cons

Fast paced - have to learn to keep up with it! Have to set firm boundaries to avoid burn out, but leadership is good about respecting it. Intense workload at times.
