Pros

The product truly does benefit the dogs. You are doing genuinely good work if you know your stuff. Get to hang with dogs too.

Cons

Mass corporatization made the job much more stressful than it was previously. They stopped supporting the employees in stores financially, professionally, and strategically, and created a number of processes that got in the way of work rather than help achieve success. Lack of institutional memory was something I would constantly have to cover for in educating people above me. Newbies no longer get sufficient training to the point where I as a customer wouldn't trust anyone in my position anymore. Communications systems currently in place are structured to breed contempt and sabotage among employees. They make you re-interview for minimal raises/promotions. HR actively creates problems rather than solving them, and an HR rep even made personal attacks towards me to which I never got an apology. The company mission statement was changed to no longer put the dogs first. The company comes first. They are not subtle about this change.

Pros

Great team, best manager/HR team, Great Benefits, Great work/balance.

Cons

I haven't experienced any cons yet, but it would be nice to get to know other people from other teams. AP and Customer service are the only teams that choose to work in office, So some company mixers would be helpful in my opinion to put a face on who I'm emailing regarding work.

Pros

The discount was pretty good

Cons

Its mention by some many comments before that why waste time typing it all out. Just highlight senior management not lifting a finger to help their employees with the subordinates getting others fired for their mistakes. Or doing anything but running everyone ragged till their burnt out an complain they are a crappy employee. All you have to do is ready comments about the company ANYWHERE, or just Google the name with 'lawsuits'and enough said... though if the higher ups do get the crappy together could still save the company before they run it into the ground.
