Pros
Working as a dog handler at K-9 Divine is a great job if you love dogs and want t a job where you get to hang out with them all day. You get to spend time outdoors and you will learn a lot about how to handle dogs and how to interpret their behavior through weekly company training. The hours were full time when I was there and the pay was competitive compared to other jobs where you don't need prior training or experience.
Cons
Some of the animals that are allowed to come to the daycare can be bad for the group of dogs overall, which can make handling them and keeping the peace difficult. There will be times when you have to watch certain animals more than others since at this company the dogs spend time together in big groups. Lots of mismatched personalities among the dogs which can potentially cause a fight if handlers aren't watching and interpreting dog body language appropriately. The outdoor conditions can be miserable in the rain, and you will have to clean up after the dogs when they use the bathroom. You will have to clean up after dogs if they have incidents such as throwing up or defecating in their crate. It comes with the territory.
