Pros

- The RBT’s tend to grow together as a family. - The kids, nothing can outweigh how wonderful the kids are! They were the reason I stayed the amount of time I did.

Cons

-Management does not listen. -They attempt to mold you into what they want, have literally heard “grooming” being used when speaking of developing a person. - The focus has become money based, whether they’re willing to admit it or not. - They do not support or accept an appropriate work life balance if you have a desire to grow. - Management will tell you want to hear to keep you content if you’re looking to grow and develop and mention it. They make promises and provide timelines they do not stick to. - Management (including owners) speak poorly of other company’s. - The “culture” they preach about does not make up for the non-competitive wages. - Frank is not receptive to feedback and has completely lost humility.

Thank you for highlighting the culture that we have on the floor. I'm proud of our teams and how they support, encourage, and care for one another. We have a special group of RBTs and BCBAs! KCT committed to continuing to invest into relationship and team building opportunities during and outside of the therapy day!! In the fall we have our Fall Festival (typically 70 KCT volunteers that serve 400 family and community members), 10 year KCT celebration (employee recognition and celebration event hosted at the zoo), several social events for each department, outside activities scheduled to come in (petting zoo, circus day), and we'll end the year with our annual Donuts with Santa. We LOVE having our team and their friends and family engaging with the families we SERVE Together and our communities. Thank you so much for pouring into the kids that we serve! Our therapists deliver truly life changing care!!! KCT does provide both clinical and non clinical career advancement opportunities. We have over 30 RBTs in leadership positions. We also provide leadership development trainings and embrace the John Maxwell definition of leadership: "Leadership is influence". I'm proud of our team of RBTs and how they embrace their critical role as leaders out on the floor. We will continue to invest into our team professionally, clinically, and financially. Our future is bright! We care deeply for the people that join our SERVE Together mission and do our best to gather feedback and take action to create meaningful change. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback through forms (QR codes posted around clinics- these can be anonymous or not), quarterly surveys, and through quarterly/ annual professional development meetings. Each team member also has a buddy (mentor), clear direct supervisors, and access to other leaders to provide feedback. Thank you, Frank Knez Founder K1ds Count Therapy

Pros

Helping the children and seeing a difference

Cons

This is literally the worst place to work if you’re a minority. The higher ups make the workplace hostile and they say they care about their staff but definitely don’t. I have seen them let staff belittle or put hands on kids and when told to the hire ups nothing was done. I was told “they didn’t mean it” even when things were caught on camera and you could clearly see the aggression towards the kids. This company cares solely about money. You do get the occasional therapist who actually care about their clients but a lot of them are burnt out, disrespected, undervalued, or have left. They give praise to people who do nothing for the clients except be a lighter skin complexion and those are the ones that get promoted. Everyone in a higher up position may seem nice and like they want to make a difference but most of them will not which is why the turn over rate is so high. The high turn over rate creates inconsistency for client which doesn’t help them progress in therapy. The therapist get hired just to leave weeks later because they hire people so that way they can accumulate more revenue rather than hire quality therapist. Kids having multiple therapist everyday and having inconsistent therapy causes more bad than good when it comes to therapy. They well put untrained staff on the floor to fend for themselves and take trained people off kids to put new people who are not trained properly. They overwork their staff and treat them horrible so please if you are a person of color be weary about this clinic. They also give incentives for good reviews so don’t believe everything you read about them.
