Pros
Fairly flexible schedule. Mostly work from home and your assigned route.
Cons
The pay is horrible. You make nothing from servicing accounts. They pressure you to get regular sales, and the insurance targets poor and elderly people. If they ever file a claim, you cannot write that person another policy. They are basically dropped for using the coverage they pay for. They encourage you to let well paying customers policies lapse by collecting late, then getting them to sign some routine paperwork, which is actually a new policy being written. This reflects on the sales person as getting sales. Now you are in the race off losing business vs writing new business. It's a total sham. Besides being deliberately deceitful, if something were to happen with the customer during the time they aren't covered due to the agent allowing their policy to deliberately lapse, they would be completely screwed.
