Pros
- High salary considering responsibility or quality of work - Comparing with company which I experienced before, salary is higher, responsibility is same, required quality of work is lower. - Soft and Kind people - Most of people in the company are corroborative and willing to help. There are not so many aggressive people (I don't if it's good for organization or not though) - Work life balance - If you will not be taking management role, work life balance is not bad. Management role member likely to work longer and they looks exhausted.
Cons
- Very old development style - Company is very "business driven" and this means, agile development is NOT feasible for many products/teams. And because of shortage of human resource, the company use a lot of BP(IT vendor engineers) for their system development. As a result, most of part of the systems have been developed by BP and internal engineer (KINTO company staff) doesn't know well about system in many teams. (company internal engineers also do some system development but mainly its very surface thing like, changing UI slightly. sometime someone says that they do development by themself, but so what? its just a surface and only BP knows the most important part of the system) As a result, the company goes with "waterfall" and "external IT vendor does most of development". It's like development of good old days. - IT vendor quality - Most of part of system development is done by IT vendor, but quality is not so good. (Literary)Almost of all Managers/Leaders think this is very big problem and ask to use other (normal) vendor but top management never allow that because they are friends. If you enter the company, you will be suffered from many bugs, low quality and you will complain but things never change. - No profitable business - Business doesn't looks going well. If its so, how the company can pay your salary? Everyone expect TOYOTA helps for money part because the company is under TOYOTA group, but it really will do ? - Old business, Not CASE - "CASE(Connected/Automated/Shared/EV)" is kind of new trend in mobility industry, but the company want to focus on Car Subscription and you will find that its just a old existing business called car lease.
