Pros
good salary, benefits, opportunities for advancement, finally starting to implement some meaningful DEI initiatives.
Cons
Lots of arbitrary punishment for students, high turnover, constant curricular changes with no teacher input, focus is all compliance (uniform, quiet hallways, etc.) and little else. They are all about quick fixes rather than looking at systemic issues within the organization. In place of a teaching philosophy, they have a brand strategy. They don't seem to see the connection between quality of instruction and behavior of students. I received very little development. I had more teaching experience than my "coach" who never even taught the content they were coaching. They pay is pretty good (for a teacher lol) but not worth the amount your will suffer working for this place. Culture is toxic, everyone is miserable. They make you stay till 5:30 most days, but when you walk the halls, no one is actually working, most teachers are just gossiping about administration in their classrooms.
