Pros

The executive director of the Plainfield, Naperville and Naperville West schools is supportive and has excellent communication skills. The principals of each school are also supportive of teachers and work with them to understand what is best for each child and family. These schools reflect the Reggio Emilia philosophy and study the original school in Italy for professional development opportunities.

Cons

The use of food for any type of activities in the classroom makes sensory experiences very limited.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad to hear that you’ve experienced strong, supportive leadership across our Plainfield, Naperville, and Naperville West schools. Creating an environment where communication, collaboration, and mutual respect are prioritized is essential to supporting both our teams and the families we serve. It’s also wonderful to know that our commitment to the Reggio Emilia–inspired approach is meaningful in your experience. Ongoing professional development, including opportunities to study the philosophy more deeply, is something we value greatly as we continue to grow as educators and as a community. Thank you for being part of the KLA Schools community and for the important role you play each day.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. I can’t say anything great about the school, or what it should really be called is a glorified daycare.

Cons

Extremely disorganized school run entirely on blatant nepotism, favoritism, and cultural discrimination. Management will heavily string you along with false promises of future employment and permanent positions, only to completely gaslight you and screw you over the moment it is convenient for them. The communication is terrible, and the environment is incredibly exclusionary toward native English speakers. Most of the staff do not speak English, leading to a very poor and disorganized educational environment for the students. If you have a degree and professional credentials, do not waste your time here—they do not value qualified educators. -no 401k matching - only 6 PTO days after 6 months of work - messy classrooms -poorly run and disorganized - no proper lunch room for teachers
