Cons
-Owner is completely insane -Turnover rate is 100% every 4 months -KPM Technology was created as a department to solely serve the main accounting company, they thought they could start a side business -All of their clients are utter trash -None of the clients willing to stay open after 5 PM so you can restart the server or anything like that, so everything is a big trial by fire, you have to plan out server restarts as best as you can, bottom line is someone is always using it and will be mad and will leave anonymous messages a week later then you're on trial and have to defend yourself since their message doesn't mention what happened -You get hounded for telling the truth, for fixing basic things, so you have to constantly give non-answers which makes people unhappy -Clients leave anonymous hate messages months later -Main ticketing system doesn't work, changes every few weeks -Other 5 star review is obviously fake, short 5 star reviews always are fake -Company doesn't have to answer as to why they are doing poorly as long as they support the parent accounting company -They were supposed to have an entire floor at the accounting company but it never got done and they have been operating out of a bank for 6+ years - shows you how little the parent company and they themselves care -They always buy the cheapest chinese stuff that never works or you have to force a cable in really hard etc, they buy firewalls from no-name chinese companies -They never keep backup units in stock even the cheap chinese firewalls they buy, the client ones die all the time, they don't have a replacement available - what they do is overnight everything but to get the client back, they sacrifice our own firewall/switch/whatever and run out and give them that. They don't take it back so nobody knows what is going on in terms of how old or used a client's equipment is -Internet was throttled down to kilobytes per second and we couldn't watch tech videos on how to fix something, we'd have to use our own phones to find how to fix things online -Everything is tribal knowledge and they get mad at you every single step of the way when you ask basic questions -Owner missing a lot of basic tech knowledge that you'd see entry level kids have, if you successfully fix something he couldn't, it's even WORSE than leaving it not working - he gets mad and then doesn't talk to you for two weeks. Owner talks down to you like he's better than you and all he says is "blah blah blah I know how to handle clients you don't" while they are still down because he couldn't figure out their problem. -When you're at the point where clients ask for you by name - that means they know you can solve their problems and the owner can't - this is worse since it will make the owner mad at you all the time and you won't know why -Owner unable to accept he can't figure out problems so by the time you get a ticket, the client is really angry, because he's hidden it from you -Pay was not worth it even if none of these problems exist -Company is essentially just the owner pretending he's important and one other long term employee versus everyone else that don't stick around more than 4 months, they just take on new kids every 4 months to try to soak up the workload, if there's no work it's your fault, if you fix their problems they get mad that they couldn't figure it out in the first place -They didn't even give me a reference or even confirm my employment but the main accounting office did - that's just so wrong
Pros
- Hybrid Work, though mostly in office - Work life balance is alright - Really slow at times. You'll have nothing to do.
Cons
Probably too many cons to list; - Upper Management - Pay is awful - Environment is toxic - Take all feedback with a grain of salt - Company equipment is old and slow
