Pros

Gain experience working in a smaller market. This was a great place for getting on the job training.

Cons

Working in broadcast is a demanding profession - can be really stressful at times, but that is inherent in the profession and not unique to just KUTV

Pros

Good environment. Support is there when you need it.

Cons

If you are looking for more marketing-based work, look elsewhere. The position is strictly sales and data entry.

Pros

People are great to work with. It has given me great experience and the team is great.

Cons

Upper management is very difficult to work with! We have lost over 40 employees in 2 years because the boss is unreasonable and very difficult to work with. They are unwilling to give employees enough money to survive and yet makes them work hard long hours. We've been told not to be happy or comfortable at work. upper management and HR are very difficult to reason and work with when it comes to working mothers and women in general. Women are paid much less than men and are not treated with the same respect. The station has a hard time finding new employees because they do not pay nearly enough to compete with competition or frankly pay bills. The micromanaging and condescension from the bosses makes it very difficult to work here and yet when people do quit or want to quit, the employees have to jump through hoops just to quit. The communication between people is also bad. Managers and assignment editors are horrible at communicating with producers and they often get mad when we miss something or dont do something right. It used to be a great place to work but the morale is so bad now that we have forgotten what it's like to be happy at work.
