Pros
Every employee has the power to influence the direction their work should take; we have a lot of independence and the leadership team actually listens and applies feedback and suggestions from everyone on the team. I've worked in bigger, established companies and constantly felt like I had no autonomy and like speaking up was a surefire way to get in trouble with management. At KaiNexus, we get to think for ourselves and speak up without fear of repercussions.
I’ve never worked with a team of people who have been as invested in their company as a whole or held as much pride for their own work as my colleagues at KaiNexus. I’ve also never met a leadership team who has been as transparent with their employees about the health of the company or the direction we’re taking.
If you want someone hovering over your shoulder telling you exactly what to do and how to do it with no interest in your opinions, you probably wouldn’t be happy here. But if you want to do work that really matters, be able to make your own decisions and suggestions, and have a boss and team that really value your contributions, you’d love working at KaiNexus!
Cons
As a small startup, benefits are limited. The leadership team is relatively inexperienced and there have been some growing pains, though those pains have certainly eased over the years.
